Amazing True Story Beautifully Told
I almost didn't read this book. I am so glad I did. As another reviewer wrote this is one of the best book I have read in a very long time. It is immediately engaging and works on so many levels, as a memoir, local history, essay on crime and punishment, personal redemption and what it means to be a committed loving human being while providing an intimate look into the life of one man and his family facing what no one should ever have to face. I was total engrossed in the story and all the details provided and in the end was brought to tears. To say I was tremendously moved is really an understatement;I was shaken to core. The book left me determined to take what I learned to do what I can to make a positive difference wherever I can. .

Great Book on Leading a LIfe of Love and Meaning
Wonderful book by a fine writer on the matters of living a life of service and meaning. This book being one of three books looking at the Catholic Christian belief system from a overall universal spiritual perspective. Author born in Indian brought up under Hinduism, attended Catholic high school and college in Indian taught by Irish, Welsh and English teacher/professors. Author has also written book on leading a meaningful life from the sacred texts of Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism.

Wonderful, Real-Life, Fully Realized Characters
A story of wonderful, real-life, fully realized individual characters who will remain etched into my consciousness for as long as I live. When reading, I had to occasionally remind myself that these were fictional characters and not real, living, breathing human being which then enable me to continue reading despite my fear for what was yet to come.
