Love cooking? Buy one of these!
I chose this particular model because I have a fairly small kitchen and a normal sized range cooker (110 cm wide) wouldn't fit. Other brands offer similar features but I liked the look and style of the Rangemaster Elan. I have an old cottage and I was looking for something that was remeniscent of the original Aga but was easier to live with and less expensive to buy and run.
I think the dual fuel aspect is excellent: it really does give the best of both worlds. The grill is very quick to heat up and can heat only half the width of the grill if you are doing a couple of slices of toast or a small dish. The large fan oven has great versatility with its multi-function fan oven or convector or a combination of both. Good for baking cakes and pastries or roasting the Sunday joint, it really is a joy to use. The tall oven on the right hand side is fan oven only but it heats up to 180c in five minutes. It easily holds small to medium baking trays to put your roast potatoes in or parsnips or to reheat a meal if needed. The five burners on the gas hob are well thought out: a small burner on the front left for milk pan or similar, two medium ones to the rear, a large burner on the front right and a double burner in the centre for a wok or large stock-pot. I find it be very versatile and responsive.
When I compared this model to other brands it wasn't the cheapest on the market but I think Rangemaster have a good reputation for quality and reliability and I wanted to get the best I could within my budget. It also came down to personal taste such as looks and styling, where it was manufactured and the type of cooking I do.
I'm really struggling to find anything to critisize on this range cooker: it simply does everything I want a cooker to do.

Mains powered smoke alarm
Easy to fit and connect, this is one of six fitted to my house and they have proven to be reliable and no false alarms. I would recommend them.
