Wonderful 40th Anniversary gift
This is a beautiful figurine, and the beautiful ruby-red color made it a perfect gift for somebody celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

Great binoculars
This is the second pair of this binocular that I have owned. Something went wrong with the first pair, and I did look into getting it repaired, but I was told there was some reason it wouldn't be repairable (it was years ago, and I can no longer remember the reason). So they have been sitting unused for years. So I purchased this new pair. I love them every bit as much as I did my first pair of binoculars. The stabilization makes images very steady and clear. I laughingly refer to these binoculars as "nose hair" binoculars because from a distance you can get a very close-up look and clear look at anything.
The only issue I had with this new pair of binoculars was that it did not come with a neck strap. This is not a lightweight binocular, and a person wouldn't be walking around for hours holding them by hand or in their carrying bag--which does not have a shoulder strap, anyway. They need to be quickly accessible--hanging from your neck so you can grab them on a moment's whim (there are actually slots built into the binocular for a neck strap). My solution was to take the neck strap off my old, unused pair and put it on this new pair.
For me, this binocular is the next best thing to a spotting scope.
