ATTRACTIVE, SIMPLE, RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE MACHINE
Lots of features loaded into just a few multi-function buttons, so the manual is a necessity-that said, this is a very consistent machine with a small footprint which responds well to the right grind, so a quality stand-alone burr grinder is a must. Using store bought pre-ground coffee is an insult to this machine. DON'T DO IT! I've had my Dedica for about three years now, still running great, have replaced the original pressurized baskets, no other maintenance has been necessary (other than the periodic descaling required on most espresso machines). You can adjust length of shot pull quite easily, as well as shot temp (a bit more complicated, but doable). These variables plus an appropriate grind level will consistently deliver rich crema on your shots, once you dial everything in. I believe strongly in simple, single-function, well built machines. This machine is beautiful to look at, has a small footprint for limited kitchen deck space, and does what it's supposed to do: produce consistent, quality shots, and steam or foam milk to acceptable standards for lattes and cappucinos. I would definitely buy another at the price point.

I still own this model...will NOT sell it. Phenomenal intonation, neck feel, amazing tone and sustain, one of the best trems ever made, very stable, excellent control and sensitivity. Also excellent locking tuners. Hard to find anything current that is comparable for any price. PUPS offer very quiet and accurate tone, great for everything from jazz to classic rock, everything except heavy metal.

Wood grain varies greatly...no need to settle for plain if you can find a beautifully grained top!
Exceptional tone and sustain, hard to believe sides/back are laminate...
