Cozy comfort for the furbaby.
Bought this for my yorkshire terrier girl (she weighs around 12lbs and has a long and yet dainty frame). I was debating between pink or grey and decided to go with grey for neutral coloring and it being better about potential staining issues. Pink would've been better about reflecting heat off as it's a lighter color, but I could always put another cover over it for that.
Pros:
Lightweight, soft suede-like material, holds it's shape well and very easy "install/setup". I can tell it's much more comfortable for my little furbaby than the "basket" seats that are held together by metal rods and tied around the car seats. Lifts her high enough to get a decent view if she wants to look around but deep enough to where she can just get cozy and nap/rest without too much visual distractions. The somewhat smaller interior space and material keeps her stable pretty well as I make sharper turns, which in the past with other methods has made her sit up or "brace" herself whenever she tries to relax. Yet, it's spacious enough for her to semi-curl up and nap. The dip in the front allows her to rest her head more comfortably, even though she may rest her head on the higher side edges sometimes. The safety straps and seat belt set up makes it and her even more stable.
Cons:
Only thing that is considered a con/issue is it's a bit too insulated (being the inside is a solid, firm foam material) for the hot, southern weather. It holds heat from being in the car, if left in it for a day. Bringing the seat inside when not in use may reduce this problem but realistically speaking, most like me will leave it in the car most of the time. I usually keep the windows down most of the time when driving and have the air conditioner directed at her or take her on a drive in the morning or evening when it's cooler. If the weather gets hot enough and I know I'll be driving a long bit, I may even add some thin sheets that she can lay over with an ice/coolant pack underneath. Or just bring it inside when not in use :P
I can imagine this would be great during cooler/mild seasons, but if the weather is very hot, you may want to bring it inside or add a coolant pack in it to make it not so warm/hot for your furbaby(s).
