Great advance over predecessors
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this machine because of continuing frustrations over earlier Panasonics - DMR85s and 95s - on which either the DVD drive packs up, the tuner packs up, the HDD thinks it's full and pre-set recordings on the HDD arrive in two halves with five or six minutes missing in between. This machine [EX97] is a definite advance. Not only is the screen layout better, but it also seems to offer [not tried it yet] the 'Series Link' facility offered by the SKY and Virgin Tivo recorders; a terrific boon. I haven't had it very long, but so far, so (very) good!

What title?
The wire is not rigid enough and bends too easily; presumably intentionally, to make one have to buy more.
