Seiko Men's 47.8 mm Prospex "Arnie" Tuna Solar Diver's Watch

    If you love the 80's.....
I found this watch while searching for a rugged alternative to the ubiquitous Casio G-Shock. I wanted an analog display with a quartz movement, and an alarm/ stopwatch feature. The alarm is loud enough to wake me, and I'm lucky to get 6 hrs sleep. Alarm only sounds one time, no snooze or subsequent alarms. Stopwatch is practically impossible to read while running, and the backlight, while quite bright, doesn't work while stopwatch is running. If you switch to the second time zone mode, activate the backlight, then switch to the stopwatch mode, the back light will still be on, and you can read the stopwatch while in the dark. I find the layout to be as, if not more intuitive than most Casios and Suunto watchs I've worn. Lume on hands, indices, and bezel is excellent. Watch band is incredibly soft, very comfortable. The solar powered quartz movement is genius. My watch arrived with 8 of 10 power reserve, and was fully charged after casual wear (Fall season) in just two days. My only gripes are the watch bezel is gritty and not as precise as most entry level swiss or even microbrand watches. The second hand will usually not land on the proper second marker on the watch face. Sometimes it lands dead on, other times it lands in between markers. Also, when I first set the time, I noticed the hour hand lagging a tiny bit. For example, on the hour, the min hand would be pointing straight up to twelve, but the hr hand would be slightly behind the new hr marker. This was fixed by completing a factory reset. Now, all is good. My wrist is just over 7in, this watch wears very well for it's size. Compared below with a 36mm Seamaster Thanks for reading
