Nice Kit
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this for a fence project where all the posts need to be precisely level with each other. It was going to cost me $110 to rent one for a day, and I was pretty sure I would need it multiple days (has been true). I love this item - it has exceeded my expectations. The first thing I did was do their test for error. I detected none over a distance of 40 meters (~125 feet). The main unit, receiver, tripod and other accessories are solid, again, much better than I expected. My only minor complaint is that the measuring stick is pure feet/inches/quarter-inches. I would have liked an alternate option of either tenth-inches or metric.
By the way, this is supposedly "factory reconditioned", but I could see no sign whatsoever of any part of this kit having been opened or used previously. No guarantee they are all that way, I suppose.
One other thing. You will use all the items in the kit, so there's no point thinking of purchasing them separately "as-needed".
