Nice enough if you like cheap

This is an older sat nav. It is no longer supported, the maps are slightly out of date and the guidance can be slightly behind time, so that you have motored past the junction you were supposed to turn at. The voice is terrible - one of those early attempts top generate a human voice with a machine. It doesn't work too well. Oh, and the touch screen isn't sensitive enough. Apart from that, it has a big display, a good battery life and the guidance is clear and precise. It usually picks up the satellites quickly. It's lightweight, the screen mount is good (one of the best I've seen). I bought it because it was cheap. It works better than my TomTom One XL.

Out-dated technology that doesn't work well

Most Velleman products are really excellent and I'm sure that, in it's day, this one was too. The build quality is good and at the 'reminder' price that these things are selling for it is priced well. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the software provided by the manufacturer of the PIC chips that this board is designed to program, and the software from Velleman is not compatible with later Windows systems or with computers that do not have a serial port. So far, even with help from experienced PIC programmers, I have not been able to get this board to work.

Poor quality facsimile

This is not a genuine Apple product although it looks alright the volume from the microphone is very low.
