Cuts evenly with great shine
A small amount of product goes a long way, but the cut is very subtle. Only minor blemishes and swirls will disappear with one cut, especially on hard (top quality) paint finishes such as those found on BMW and Mercedes. That's the way it should be. Would not use anything else.

Philips’ best shaver—by far
I have used Philips shavers for 40 years. While I have been pleased with all of them, the Prestige is quite literally a cut above. It shaved almost as close as a razor, and that’s impressive. Certainly it’s the best wet shave money can buy, and one does not have to worry about the body of the shaved getting wet. Other reviewers have commented on the less-than-solid feel to the head assembly, and I agree with this assessment. On the other hand, there are no reports of breakages. Some reviewers have expressed disappointment about the lack of an onboard trimmer, and I agree with this as well. That said, the new clip-on trimmer is better than any onboard trimmer I’ve ever used. Price? Well, it’s like buying Tivoli radio. You sort of gasp and wince, and then wipe away the tears and go ahead with the purchase anyway. After a few months the pain goes away. In conclusion, and all things (including price) considered, I give this razor 8.5/10.
