A positive exposition recommending the reformed faith to black churches
The author includes a brief description of the reformed faith, including the 5 points describing man's depravity, God's election, the atonement of Christ, the power of grace, and the perseverance of Christians through God's power. Then he makes connections with the history of the black church in America, explaining why black churches are not typically reformed these days, and then recommends that black churches considering incorporating the principles of the reformed faith into their churches. I appreciated the book and I think it makes a lot of sense. I recommend it.

Thoughtful and compelling.
Kuiper is a clear, matter-of-fact writer, from a Reformed perspective. He is not wordy. His work is relevant and appears accurately expressed. I recommend this book for those who are interested in evangelism, especially the "why", but also the "how" of it. His book, "The Glorious Body of Christ" is also a fine book.
