Performs as described, Love the finish. Nice satin sheen smooth n silky feel.
2 of 2 found this helpful I performed some of my own remodeling on the forend and right side thumbhole area of a Revolution 10/22 laminated stock. Completely removed the original finish in those two areas. Original finish: poly-urethane High gloss. I previously worked the entire stock with 0000 steel wool to remove the high gloss. Matching the original finish in the reworked areas was a challenge but through trial and error I came up with the right combination. The final result is just what I was looking for.. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Here's what it consists of : Two to three coats of Tru-oil on fine sanded bare reworked areas (allowed to dry well). This brought the color back to match the original, but the final finish just wasn't right with that alone. The polyurethane and Tru-oil are just too different. I then put two coats of Varathane satin water based polyurethane on the reworked areas and overlapping a little onto the original polyurethane. At times carefully sanding between coats with 800 black paper. The satin finish of the Varathane was much to my liking and it adhered well and improved the look of the original. I finished with two coats of Varathane over the entire stock (applied with a 3/4" artist brush, and turned out remarkably smooth). The appearance of the satin finish was just about perfect, but it just didn't feel as silky smooth as a 0000 steel wool finish does, it's one thing I like most about a steel wool finish. Well the Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen & Conditioner was the icing on the cake. After shooting the rifle for a few afternoons in a row, in humid air on last two days (and prior to applying the product), the finish felt almost sticky and smudgy. Hands would not slide or glide smoothly without resistance over the surface. I wiped it down with cotton T-shirt fabric and that helped but I was still seeking improvement... The Stock Sheen & Conditioner " Did the Trick ", The satin finish appears practically identical with improvement and the feel is fantastic. The look and the feel are 1st class.. It's got the silky smooth feel of a 0000 steel wool finish and better luster, without the mess of the steel wool. I am 100% satisfied with the final result of the Stock Sheen & Conditioner :)

Good product, Works as intended
I have used this product for years to control rat and mouse problems and have found it to work well.. mostly use it under house and in Barn .. it can be a little messy but better than Rat & mouse mess & destruction..

Worth it !!
Good quality, well made product. Definitely a benefit to have. Speeds up and simplifies set up & take down of hoses and probably reduces wear to threads of fittings also :)
