better performance than the generic replacement I used prior
2 years ago I replaced defective coils with generic coils ... they worked. This changed the timing on my SV735-0016 Kohler Craftsman mower. Maybe they were not a correct match for my engine series? The generics changed the timing on the engine ( it sounded different most noticeable at lower RPMs and started hard) but it ran ok at higher RPMs . Due to poor troubleshooting I thought I had bad coils again (was a sheared flywheel key) I put in these Kohler coils. The engine pops right off at start and idles smooth at low RPMs. I find it paid to use the Kohler coils if you think your mower is worth more than the cost of these coils.
