New Format

Good drive. Formatting process different than old LaCie drives. If you use DiskUtility and not LaCie setup on MacOS, make sure All Devices is checked in the View menu and when reformatting, GUID Partition Map is selected.

In a new light UPDATED

I haven’t been entirely enamored with LEDs given the unfortunate range of warm whites they emit. The HUE strip, in my case hidden atop an eight foot half wall, has quite a range of color, including some good whites, that bounce off the ceiling above. With bridge it performs its duties seamlessly and will fade on or off in 10 to 60 minutes to start and end the day. This is part of a larger homekit system I have cobbled together mostly from ebay. The prices are acceptable this way and rewards greater for performing additional research. I’ll add more in time. In 11 months time, part of the light strip is barely lit and not the same colors.

So good I want another

I want another EPSON ARTISAN 1430 to use with my existing 1430 I bought from Epson years ago for $299.00. Produces great prints on other artist brand papers like Canson Infinty. A few drawbacks: sometimes fails to load heavier paper 240 gsm and above. Prints best when wired via USB. It will stop mid-print when printing wirelessly, not a great thing when a 13x19 photo is half-way printed. The difficulty is paying $600 over the street price of what I paid for my new 1430 and whether I should just get the newer version of the Artisan 1430 (Expression Photo HD XP-15000) from Epson for $299.
