Great lens for the money!
3 of 3 found this helpful The Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM lens is a great all around travel lens for full frame cameras. (if you have a crop sensor, get the 24mm f/2.8 instead). It's still fast, although most as fast as the 50mm f/1.8, its so much smaller. It's slightly wider than the 50mm, and still very fast, in terms of low light capability.
