Restaurant ware is the way to go for everyday!
Restaurant-ware is sturdy and practical. I have had a set since I was a college student,
and I still have all the original pieces and I am in my 50s. I have added pieces I needed
via ebay. The single serving pieces are great. There are many different pieces available
such as fruit bowls, cereal bowls, dinner plates, bread plates, cups and saucers, mugs,
pitchers, small teapots and serving pieces (platters and bowls).
Some of the pieces are a bit smaller than currently popular dishes, but this may pay off in
limiting portion size. The sizes are great for children.
There are some very cheerful designs that coordinate with other dishes.
Collecting this china can be a lot of fun, as there are lots of fun patterns out there at reasonable prices.
Some of the pieces are a little expensive, if vintage, but still less than most china pieces.

I like that it is lightweight so I can get it down and refill it easily.
