A Productive But Sad Life Of Walter White
I heard of A.J. Baime interviewed on by Terry Gross on NPR and this book sounded hugely interesting. While I have not read the book yet I am very sure this will be quite interesting. Anyone Terry Gross interviews is of importance in my view. This is the sad story of Walter White who was a man hugely important to the civil rights era that no one ever knew. That he ended his life in poverty and public derision despite his contributions to civil rights is a tale of a life sadly ended. That he died without recognition is more a reflection on our society.

A Modern Translation of An Old Classic
This excellent translation of an ancient classic inspired writers, scholars, artists, and the common man. Shakespeare used some of these stories as the basis for some of his plays. This translation is for readers looking for a modern language to understand these fables. But of course, some of these fables are for adults only, so be careful when reading some of these paragraph-long stories to kids.

Compelling And Irresistible Read
The leather-covered book was in excellent condition, with inserts still available. The reading content is amazing and compelling. Frederick Law Olmsted's travel memoir of his trip to Texas, where I grew up, in 1854 is fascinating. Reading about life, the people who lived there, and their constructed homes of poles, mud, clay, vertical pole walls, etc., is irresistible. And I like the reprint of the original publication. I highly recommend this book, especially for Texans.
