It's green and there's a lot of it
This is fine quality magnet wire and, you know, it's green. Make the makers you call friends green with envy when they see your hair brained idea implemented with green magnet wire.
18 AWG is too thick for a switch mode power supply or RF, so this is for audio band stuff or line frequency power. Hams seem to wind balluns with fat stuff like this, probably because they don't know anything about physics. This green wire would look extra cool on your ballun even though only 5% of the copper would be carrying current. I wound high power mid-range crossover inductors with this on monstrous EFD ferrite bobbins and cores and they work great. And they're not freakin' red

Fix rear wheel hitting deraileur
On a spare wheelset, I built MTB wheels for my city bike with 29 X 2.35" tires. Unfortunately, the back tire totally hit the mechanism of the front derailleur. This was a common problem on line when I searched, but with no solution.
This derailleur has its mechanical bits over the chain rings instead of behind the seat post. I attached it with a clamp adapter for a braze-on derailleur and I can stick my fingers in there now. I worried that the cable pull distances might be different between the different parts, but it works great.

Perfect for Halloween!
Tape up a bundle of road flares or PVC pipes wrapped with red paper. Tape this to the front of the bundle. Add some curled wires sticking out the top. Looks great! Sounds great too. Set the alarm for during a party.
