Late Period Dead
Some of the tightest playing and best renditions of Dead classic as well as modern tunes to be found. Disc 2 is worth the price of admission alone and is my favorite over Disc 1. The rhythm section is unfortunately underrepresented sonically which is odd considering that Phil Lesh produced Without a Net. I have never been a huge fan of Brent Mydland on keyboards; his sound was too much a tinkling cascade of electric piano high notes most of the time. However, his vocals on this recording truly shine.
