An Exceptional Life Manual
1 of 1 found this helpful Covey's book is a manual for becoming excellent (not perfect!) in all you do. It is a way to succeed in life by living by developing time-honored character traits and exceptional qualities in your life. I found I like it even much more than I expected. It's one to keep and refer to time and time again.

The Hobbit or There and Back Again
I wanted a copy of The Hobbit to go with my Lord of the Rings trilogy. The day it came I admired the book then turned to the first page "just to look at it." I didn't put the book down until I had finished it! I loved every word of it.
I love Tolkein's clever, engrossing storytelling. His trilogy is enthralling, but it takes a major time commitment to get through all three books. The Hobbit is an easier, shorter read with all the fun and excitement of a fantastical adventure. It's tone is lighter than the somber trilogy.
The Hobbit is a wonderful book for adults as well as older children. It serves as an introduction to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy or stands alone as a classic in its own right.

So Great a Cause (The Work and the Glory)
This book was bought on ebay because it is out of print and only available second hand. This is the final book in "The Work and the Glory" series. Obviously if you have read the series thus far you're hooked and eager to read the final installment. And it doesn't disappoint. The volume nicely ties up the series.
