Solid and well designed - just like it should be
This basic carrier bolts directly into mounting holes found under covers that come standard on the roof of the car. It is solid and well-designed, with clear instructions on proper installation. Once bolted-in, it is very solid with no vibration. Each of the four 'corners' has a locking cover, with four matching keys, that cover the attachment mechanism and prevent theft. The unit itself is make of good quality materials - aluminum extrusion across the top, steel fittings for attachment, plastic covers and a rubber strip for the top to protect whatever you're carrying.
I attached a large ski/snowboard mount which was easy to bolt onto the basic carrier.
Instructions are clearly laid out. Follow them closely and installation will be easy. The instruction says to loosen the bolt (actually a hex bolt) that attaches each mount to the cross-member. Make sure that you do this to ensure proper fitment.
My R350 is rated at 21 mpg on the highway, and I got 21.1 over 400 miles with the rack, ski/snowboard mounts and three pairs of skiis on top.

Quality control issues - reversed polarity
I have to back up another reviewer. The unit arrived with the positive and negative terminals reversed!!! This is a very basic quality control problem, and could have damaged the bluetooth speaker.
It was straightforward to use a straight pin to remove and re-insert the sockets in the connector.
Check the polarity before using!!!

Excellent OEM-like fit. Looks like original. Nice quality.
Fits right in, and being heat-molded it matches the funky contours of the trunk sheet metal. In my car it required some minor trimming at the struts adjacent to the gas fill tube. I recommend this product.
