Complete
As in, all in, better than before. It looks like it's been remastered, although there's no such claim on the box.
This was a long wait for the rest of the series, and it's a great set.

The bikini
2 of 2 found this helpful My earliest memory of an epic movie, and my first sighting of Raquel Welch.
But it turns out there's more here than the most beautiful cave girl ever, in her bikini.
The Ray Harryhausen effects are fantastic examples of stop motion film effects, there's a fascinating commentary track, which provides insight into the characters, the writers, the studio, the camera and film types, the cast, the director, other projects involving any of the above, and the differences between the USA and international screen versions.
Highly recommended for film buffs, Raquel watchers, Harryhausen aficionados, or any fan of this film in particular.
The mono soundtrack is a giant improvement over the dvd, and the image quality is spectacularly better than the dvd.

So far so good
Driving four high efficiency 15" Celestion woofers, sounds good out of the box, still dialing it in.
Jury is still out on its longevity; I bought a Yung 500 watt plate amp years ago.
While not in use, its on light powered up, then off, and it never made a sound again. About 3 days after its warranty ended.
We'll wait and see on this one.
Post script-
It's making intermittent crackling noises, despite using the same cables as before, with a different amp.
And with a Jensen line isolator. And different cables. And an active line XLR to RCA converter. Frustrating, since when the added noise is not there, it's a great sounding unit.
