Every guitar is set-up with low fast action. I’ve received great reviews for the guitars I’ve already sold. I refuse to sell a sub-par guitar with bad fretwork, buzzing, or intonation issues. nice beginner guitar- sounds great with improvements seller put on. packaged well- came with some extras -strap strings tuner etc shipping took a wrong turn so it took a little longer to get to me problem was with USPS . Great budget hot rail pickup

I love this Artec pickup- I’ve put in 3 Tele copies so far- lower gain pickup compared to the ceramic version which I’ve also used. Still sounds great with higher gain overdrive/full on distortion. This hotrail is warm and sounds amazing on on the clean channel. If matched with the bridge version you really get that Tele twang w both pickups engaged in my experience. Well packaged, includes wiring diagram, wax-potted, w the correct screws/springs. I received earlier than expected too. Green wire hot to switch/volume lug, black and bare to ground, red/white tape/solder together unless coil splitting- easy install. Very satisfied with my purchase- sounds great on my new Tele copy.

Excellent High Gain Pups

These are amazing pickups for the price. Have in 2 Tele copies. Guitars sound excellent now. Very hot wound. Sound excellent on clean channel with that sought after Tele twang but really shine with overdrive or distortion. I play metal but love Tele’s so I’ve upgraded a few with hotter pickups or hot rails. I love these pickups. I just wish the bridge hot wire was a bit longer since it’s pretty short. Well made and r wax potted. They are also pretty quiet without 60 cycle hum which is nice.

Great guitar- poor quality control

Great guitar for the price- great straight maple neck w no feet sprout, all electronics work, guitar feels excellent, and the stock ceramic pickups sound good. I was changing strings and found the low E machine head did not have a hole all the way thru the shaft. Makes changing strings kinda impossible. Luckily I have about 22 guitars and I’ve upgraded the tuners on most of them. I had a spare albeit gold tuner laying around ( stock tuners are chrome) and the know how to swap it out- the problem here is that a beginner would not have been able to do what I did- they would’ve have had to pay extra money to a luthier to correct the issue. That is unacceptable in my book. This is a beautiful instrument it really is for someone with the knowledge to repair it. The price is excellent. This is my second Monoprice Indio guitar. My first one is flawless- that’s why I’m upset w the tuner issue. This guitar is priced for a beginner so I hope that future guitars are shipped in good working condition so someone who is new at guitar will start climbing the steep learning curve it takes to become a proficient guitarist. I’ve been playing for over 30 years and my hobby is upgrading guitars with the hope to become a professional luthier. This guitar sounds and plays really well- it should be an excellent choice for a beginner. The set-up out of the box was spot on- all I had to do was stretch the stock strings. One of the nicest entry- level guitars I own minus the tuner issue. I’ve included the 2 pics of the machine head- I put the chrome nut and washer on the guitar so as to not totally stick out that I have one gold tuner while the other five are chrome. The gig bag is padded pretty well too and also comes with a cable and Allen wrenches to adjust the trust rod in the neck and to set the intonation/action. The shipping time was very quick too. Love the guitar looks amazing w the maple fretboard- just not happy with the tuner issue which I’ve never ever seen before.
