1 of 1 found this helpful Overall the clamping mechanism and fine adjustment work good, but where the legs meet the center main clamp, there is a triangle shaped plastic insert piece through which the tube slides up or down, and so that piece makes the whole thing unstable. Try to clamp the large wood item into this stand and then work on it Perhaps the low cost is the reason, but if I knew I would rather pay more and get that stand with metal sliding insert, if they make it that way of course, which I think would make the stand more solid and make me feel that I have real tool.

easy to setup
This unit is more for surface mounted shop and storage style lights. Works good.
