Do Not Buy Today Unless You Are a Geek
2 of 3 found this helpful OK- as a GPS, nice quality, nice screen, nice value. Works real well after a firmware update. Great reception etc. Good receiver. Problem lies with software. Nat Geo scrapped its topo maps. No support. The software packed with the GPS is ancient and not updated. Only partially works with Windows 7-10 64 bit. You can download the latest firmware from several sources. Just Google it. All this means if you have an ancient computer laying around - its a great deal. To lay in useful newer topographic maps - since everything was discontinued 3 years ago - you have to do a work around using a paid subscription to a questionable site called Maps4Me. Down load - and save them as imi files and copy on to your SD disk. Not the 512mb that comes with it - too small - to my surprise the 400 ran a 16gb disk OK! . Then physically move the disk back to the GPS and install. Lot of confusion out there on websites, forums and blogs - I wasted a day researching it - but if you want maps - this is it. Its a good unit, awesome price in 2015 as they continue to dump excess inventory - just be prepared to fight with the topo maps and software. And don't buy the package deal - disk and maps are now useless.

Good Sight - Bad Instructions
Sight is excellent value. Third one I own though first of this brand as finding one for the DB9 is near impossible. Looks good and works perfect. The reason for 4 stars is the instructions are terrible, the videos mislabeled and while it looks simple (idiot proof) there are so many extra parts (parts for 380 and 9mm plus extra screws) included and not clearly labeled it took me 2 hours to finally get it assembled right. Only succeeded as I had a general idea what I was doing. The minute instruction drawing was useless. But it works well, and I am satisfied.
