9V Akai Miniak Synth replacement power supply
    Apr 26, 2018
    Works great on the Miniak!
The power supply came with a short adapter which is necessary to make it fit. However, with the adapter attachment, it works perfectly for my Miniak and I'm pleased with it!
Aston Stealth Active Broadcast Cardioid Dynamic Microphone

Flexible, hefty, and an excellent broadcast mic
This microphone is a solid broadcasting mic, and I would take it over an RE-20 or SM-7B anytime. Having a built-in preamp allows for so much flexibility, and the four different voicing options are an extra extra plus. I have used it live on stage and in the studio, and it's awesome everywhere, particularly for spoken word. I love the "D" (dark, ribbon emulation) pattern on my speaking voice--it is silky smooth and rich. The only drawbacks I have experienced are in the mounting and weight of the mic. The placement of the XLR connection can sometimes interfere with range of motion for the mounting clip, so I wouldn't recommend this for tight spaces. Also, the long profile and substantial weight can be a liability for drooping, so having a solid mic stand is important.

    An industry standard; great microphone!
This thing is rugged and does the job whenever you need it. It's not extremely pretty, but it's also very affordable and has great versatility/quality for the price range. Every studio ought to have at least one!
