If it is cheap, it is a knock off.
The drive loses it’s formatting at random time and at other times becomes read only and won’t copy files to the drive. Have had to format it 5 times so far. Going to trash the drive and buy a different one. Suspect the one I bought was a knockoff with a sub-par chip as have had good luck with smaller drives on this model
