EVGA 3080s perform about 5% better than Gigabyte and don't require thermal pad replacement
EVGA 3080s mine about 5% more than Gigabyte and don't require thermal pad replacement.
The fan curve isn't optimal for mining - it's optimized for quiet gaming. So for mining the fan speed must be manually set. Once that is done the VRAM junction temps come down nicely - into about 90C.
This in contrast to the Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080s which run about 15% down to keep them from thermal throttling on VRAM junction temps. Once the poor, oily, Gigabyte thermal pads are replaced only then are the temps sane (and then better than stock EVGA ~ 82C). But at that point they're still ~ 96-98 MH whereas the EVGA are ~ 102 MH

Doesn't separate as kitchen shears must for proper cleaning. Good quality otherwise.
CON: Does not separate for proper cleaning. These aren't paper shears or garage shears - these are kitchen shears. It's impossible to de-grody them in the pivot overlap area after cutting chicken, or bacon, or pretty much any food. My wife banished them immediately to the garage for this reason - and I concurr.
For this absolutely critical reason -2 stars "It's Okay" is the rating.
PRO: Good quality and price (if on sale).
