Finally some HO cars that don't frustrate the grandkids
Bought an HO track set for the grandkids. The cars that came with it were noisy, they hesitated around the track needing a push often to get moving again, and both stopped working with a day. Bought another set from the local hobby store, but their magnets were too weak to hold the cars to the track unless you went painfully slow.
Bought these and found they are quiet, fast, no hesitations around the track, and they hold the track unless you purposely go way too fast for a curve.
These were less expensive than the cars from the hobby store and arrived quickly. Excellent buy.

Inconsistent in operation, but primary function is useable.
I have purchased three of these devices now. When paired with either Hubitat or VeraPlus, the only function that is the same for all of them is that they report motion in a timely manner.
However, the illumination function behaves differently on each one (regardless of whether paired to Vera or Hubitat). Under the same lighting conditions they display significantly different values. For instance, when sealed in a light-proof plastic bag one will display a value of zero, one a value of 16 and one a value of 65.
Using the same driver on the Hubitat, one shows 7 state variables with their values, one shows 7 state variables but only one of those variables has a value associated, and the third shows only 1 state variable and its associated value.
Lastly, I can only disable the LED on one of the three. The other two show that disable is selected, but the LED still lights up on motion.
The battery on one was DOA. The other two were ok.
