Board as offered. Bought for DVD SATA connector.
1 of 1 found this helpful I busted the DVD drive slim sata connector on my Acer 7741z. So this board was the easiest way to get a new connector. I'll probably have to re-register the Windows 10 OS I am running on the laptop now.
Replaced the 2.5" HDD with an SSD and the SATA drive tray (to put another SSD instead of the DVD) didn't quite align with the bracket from the DVD tray. Not sure if the cheap tray was not quite OEM or if Acer did something unique before everything became standardized.
Anyone else with this laptop can replace the Pentium P6000 CPU with a $40 Intel 560m (essentially an i5) and it gets the upgraded Intel HD GPU too. Not too shabby for a $500 7-year-old laptop rockin a 17" screen.

All-season traction and rated 60K tire life. Solid offering from a US company.
The all-season traction on the Nitto Motiva is solid, although the snow traction in the last 10K of its 60K life was letting me know it was time to get a new set. Would get again for the third set if the car holds out for another 60K. OEMs lasted 40K, and the Motivas are excellent value. Smooth ride, highway or city, and they track and grip on dry, wet, or snow-covered roads. I took a chance on Nitto the last time and I'm glad I did. Worth a look, and bonus points for being made in the US (Georgia). Nitto is the US offshoot of Japanese Toyo tire company.

Easy fix for broken keys on 7741z
Worked like a charm. Good fit, good as new. Popped it in and back up and working in under 30 minutes. Although I've taken mine apart a few times (upgraded the CPU to an 530m, an early mobile i5). Hardest part was lining up the flat cable plastic guard that folds down to lock into place.
Bottom line, for under $15, it's as good as new.
