Item advertising is misleading
I recently purchased this item C16-08055 to replace an OEM gas strut for my F-150 and Undercover Tonneau Cover (ST270EDI-45), and it was nowhere near the correct part. After searching high and low, the extension length of this spring is carefully omitted from most extended descriptions and specifications causing you to order the part based on the weight it supports. Since my oem replacement called for at least 45 lbs on each side, I thought the 120 lbs would be more than sufficient because it supports more than 80 extra pounds on each side. However, advertisement for these struts focus on the pounds (120 each side) more than the extension (up to 19 inches) so I ended-up ordering the wrong part. After doing lots of research, I didn't even find a Suspa or other manufacture that specked out this part exactly with 27-inch extension and 45 lbs of support. This part only extends 19 inches while my oem extends 27-inches so the extra pounds that it supports is useless. If you want to order one of these, make sure that you measure the extended length of your oem part number and match that with the pounds it will need to support and if they don't match, don't buy it. Even though shipping was free for this item, I had to pay $10 to ship it back and also incur a 20% restocking fee bring my investment of the wrong part number after hours of research to $15. When I called the seller to get the correct part, they didn't even try to match my OEM extension size, only suggesting pounds closer to my OEM part that the struts support so buyer be aware of this as well.
