Very Useful
These make all the difference when you're faced with short, or difficult to reach tyre valves. I was, surprised at how heavy they are - I thinkt this might cause wheel balance problems if left fitted all the time. So I'll just keep one in each of my vehicles to use when checking / reinflating.

O.K. - With Reservations
If you are in a strong signal area this should do the job. HOWEVER, be aware that it introduces significant loss in the circuit(s) - enough to stop reception of weaker transponders/transmitters.
I ended up making a switch box instead.

A Good, Compact PSU
1 of 1 found this helpful This unit appears to be well made, and certainly delivers the claimed output - without making some very worrying noises, like another model I returned for a refund! This one is actually smaller than my trusty 5 amp Maplin PSU, but that doesn't have a cooling fan. And the fan is temperature controlled, only running when needed, which is how it should be. My only minor criticisms are:
1) The voltage control - to allow accurate selection over a wide 0-30 volt range it employs a multi-turn potentiometer, which means a LOT of winding to get from one end of the scale to the other.
2) It would be nice if the front panel switch controlled the DC output, with a separate AC power switch on the back, like the Maplin PSU.
Having said that, the "other" unit I mentioned had both coarse AND fine controls, but was more difficult to set accurately, and was also twice the size. Otherwise I would award this 5 stars, not 4.
