Great price, no compromise in perfomance or features with this laptop.
I think this is the 2011 model of this lightweight laptop. The 3.2 lb. weight was a top consideration in purchasing a laptop for my wife. But this laptop is a star in other areas too: nice ultra-portable size screen (13.3 in.), all day battery life so she can safely take it to work without carrying the charger, strong processor, stays reasonably cool after long use, huge 640 GB hard drive, very thin. Newer models come with i5 intel processor instead of i3 in this one. However, this i3 runs at full speed without draining down the battery and multitasks with Microsoft Office programs like a champ. Unlike other ultra-portables, Toshiba has managed to pack a very slim CD/DVD drive into this computer. Lots of connection choices with three USB ports including one USB 3.0 port and an eSATA/USB port; VGA and HDMI ports; SD card slot; headphone and speaker jacks; RJ-45 network jack. Hinges are solid and stabilize the screen well during opening and closing. I prefer the action, keys and keypad of her old Lenovo, but my wife had no complaints with the Toshiba keypad. CNET and other reviewers gave this laptop editor's choice ratings when it came out. I think it lives up to its ratings.
