It's not the same as the original.
The hostess cherry pies I remember 30-40 years ago had actual cherries & pieces of cherries, and the filling was looser, a tad thicker than syrup. Hence, the packaging was bigger. The product I received had more smaller pies, and the filling was more of a jam consistency. I bought it mostly on nostalgia, hoping it stayed the same over the years, but it has changed.
