Just like new!
Our lens hood never snapped on that tightly. (I've read comments from others that theirs needed to be "forced" into the snapped position.) Eventually, because of wear, our hood just would not stay on. We needed a replacement. I read about some replacements that were not like the original, in that they didn't store in the reversed position. This is just like our original. It's not better, in that it snaps on but isn't too tight. (Maybe that would be better?) I ordered two just so we'll have a longer time before we need to order a replacement, when it wears out again.
