FSGR3e: the best 3 channel receiver for everyone
This receiver has it's weaknesses. Mainly that it used to take 3 weeks to arrive direct from the manufacturer, in China. Now that it's readily available in our country, it's perfect. Pay attention to who is selling, as I've been burned by liars claiming 'same-country' sellers. (I live in the US, by the way.) You will need to use a Flysky FSGT3B transmitter or equivalent. The receiver is tiny, holds up to full water-proofing with Corrosion-X and has been my go-to receiver for the last 4 years. Latency is race-worthy. Bonus, I run my scale off-road trucks with this Rx on 6 volts separate BEC and have never had problems. Don't forget to waterproof with Corrosion-X or run a water-tight Rx box if you're off-roading in water.

The best, if you can find it.
I run a Tamiya 801xT electric modified Truggy. The stock center diff oil was a joke. The front differential was doing 90% of the drive until I installed this Japanese-spec, RC-specific lubrication. This stuff is truly 100,000 weight, as measured by equivalent centistoke. Don't be fooled by the cheap stuff claiming 100,000 at your local hobby shop. A note, if your using this stuff, after you fill your diffs, cover with a shop cloth and wait a day (24hrs) as there will likely be microscopic air bubbles that can cause cavitation. If it's an aeating system, then carry on.

The best video monitor, if you can find it.
I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. When my wife and I decided that we should have a video monitor, well, 3 years ago, I went on an online search. After an exhaustive research I arrived at this model. From a user perspective: it never loses signal (we can be outside in our neighbor's back yard, 500 ft away) the infra-red, IR, LEDS surrounding the camera illuminate a truly dark room, and the reliability of the unit has exceeded my expectations. The monitor portion, with the screen, has been dropped, spilled on; it even went through the washing mashine once (put it in a bag of rice for a day with the battery out) and it still works perfect. When our 2nd was born, I found a 2nd camera module (it does up to 4) on ebay for a fraction of the monitor/kit) and it works flawlessly. The day-light colors are washed out, but that's due to the CMOS sensor in the camera module not having an IR filter for nighttime. You can mount the camera module on a wall, or set it on a horizontal surface, the 2 degrees of freedom from the camera module can articulate well beyond what is needed.
