War really is Hell no matter what the century.
Only James Horner could produce a stirring drum-based score that both stirs the blood but also reminds you about the physical cost of war at the same time.A timeless piece of music that could be about any conflict in that it constantly reminds you of the bloodshed that stains mankind's history up to the present day-and it's consequences.Thanks for another gift La-La Land to add to my growing collection.Another fantastic score from a much-missed film composer.

A Revelation From The Radio.
Why aren't these lads massive? I'd never heard of them until their latest release"Everybody's Going Crazy"(Ain't that the truth!) and only then did i realise that this wasn't their debut and they had released two albums before that.I immediately sought them out and bought them both and listened to them twice.Thanks to Leona Graham at Absolute Radio and i have to confess my 76 year-old Mother i cannot wait for the next album in the autumn.
Nothing But Thieves are going to be huge in my opinion so buy them while you can afford them.

A Modern Classic.
This movie is in my opinion a modern classic thriller.A tense and intelligent script backed up by a believable cast(and believe me the entire premise defies explanation)makes this film rise above the usual run-of-the-mill stuff that Hollywood churns out by the hundreds every year-the so-called straight-to-video.
Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks stand out from a top-notch cast...and i've yet to see any film with Ed Harris that isn't worth watching again and again.
A great film and an even greater Steelbook.
