lightning killed main board not the power board

my tv was surged by lightning. I was watching and jumped out of my chair I assumed power board failed. Not sure it did fail. I had to get a main board. to make it work and did not try the old power board to see if it was bad also so I was out $80 for 2 boards. to fix a $300 dollar almost new TV. Once I found a utube demo to open the back it was really a simple fix.
