Not up to expectations of Rough Ryder QC
Perhaps the people making this new thicker blade Trapper aren't used to putting clean edges on them yet. The one I received wouldn't even cleanly cut thin paper, which is different than the several other RR Trappers I've ordered. Rolled edges and dull spots. The spey blade wasn't even fully ground on one side as it approached the tip. The knife required more than the usual cleaning to remove production and assembly debris and black smudge. Opening the blades, using the nail nicks, left the end of my thumbnail covered in black debris.
The manufacturer and the Rough Ryder company let this one slip through their QC. If I'd been able to inspect this knife in person before buying, I'd have chosen another one.
As it is, I'm going to keep it and attempt to reprofile the blades to clean up the rolled edges, finish the grind on the spey blade on the right side and give both blades decent edges. The rest of the fit/finish is good enough to make an attempt at giving the blades decent edges worthwhile.

Excellent bargain!
I was very pleased with the overall quality of this bargain priced Rough Rider Rams Horn Trapper.
The QC of the folder is excellent. Cleanly cut edges and evenly fit handle scales. Much better than you'd expect for this price point. Tight blades with clean edge grinds. The edges of both blades cleanly slices light magazine paper stock without the slightest catch or hesitation.

Toss up between 2 & 3 stars.
This IS a $10 pocket knife, so in that respect it's okay quality for the cost.
I had to use my KME sharpener kit to reprofile the edges of both blades and sharpen them so the edges were even and sharp enough to smoothly cut thin paper without snagging and hanging up.
The smallest blade isn't tight, meaning it has some wiggle. The large blade is decently snug, but both blades are very stiff to open and close.
The handle scale on one side is uneven at a corner on each end, leaving a slight gap behind it and the liner.
It's a $10 pocket knife, but if I'd have been paying that for it in a store, I'd have passed on it and looked at other examples.
