Nice cable great price.
These are nice cables for the money. They are a light weight cable but they do what they are suppose to do.

Great Heavy, Quiet Pump!
I have had it for about 6 months now. It is a quiet, heavy pump. The water that it moves makes a little more noise then the pump itself. I have underground springs that go under and around my home. So my pump runs almost year round unless we are in a very dry spell for a while.
I pulled the pump out after about 5 months of service to put in leak detectors in case of pump failure. The pump looked like the day it was put in the basket. It has been working pretty hard most of the time with it kicking on about every 2-5 minutes.
They have a hole in the lower part of the pump to blow off pressure. So it squirts water when pumping. They also suggest to drill a small hole in the lowest part of the pipe where the water exits the pump if you have a check valve up stream. I drilled an 1/8" hole in the pvc treads that the 1-1/2" pvc is glued into right at the female end of the pump.
Now this just seems so non efficient. I mean after all you want to have water pumped out... not being sprayed back into the pump. So I was a little reluctant. Some one told me a while back that they drilled a small hole into the pumps exit pipe also for reasons I can't remember at the time. Thought they were a little loopy.
Hey it does work just fine and will probably add some longevity to the pump. Also probably wont have any kind of issues of pressure build up that may lead up to a pressure lock in the exit pipe. I know the check valve doesn't hammer like it used to.
The pump is great value for the $140 that I paid for it. Only time will tell how well made the pump is. I was impressed by this one so I purchased a 2nd one for a backup. Now pumps can be switched in a matter of minutes.
One last thought. The pump is quiet probably because it is heavy for its size and made of cast iron.
