An excellent synthesis of LEGO town and city
The LEGO hovercraft hideout set is easily one of the most overlooked sets of an already overlooked theme. Although world city was dying, whilst giving way to the LEGO city line, it managed to go out with a bang rather than a groan. This set is good for its excellent namesake hovercraft as well as having a delightful side build, the hideout, and incorporating into both builds a rubber-band play feature that acts quite similarly to the air-tubes incorporated into the 2001 and 2007 mars lines. Ultimately then, this set was well worth the price of back in 2003 and it is well worth the 10 dollar markup indicated by brick set now. This set can easily be incorporated into any burgeoning, or preexisting, LEGO city.
