It worked.
It was the only part available for a reasonable price.

Awesome field processing knife.
Excellent knife for field work, skinning and breaking down big game. This particular knife was a replacement for one I left in the woods and sadly the blade retention system failed on the first replacement.
Gerber is over a month out on their responses to warranty issues. I did not have any issues with the first knife other than it is small enough to lay down in the woods and forgotten.
