Excellent even at higher price
At first, this unit was little daunting. Its a portable unit, but it is "heavy" compared to other brands. However, for my applications, that is an advantage. Its more stable, it feels high end, and its easy to use. Its stable and doesn't move easily.
But the sound, that is whats important right? Well, I was NOT impressed with the first couple hours. The sound in the mid to highs were excellent, crisp and clear, with a rather flat response (which is good). But, the bass was seriously lacking.
The bass was tinty, it was not powerful and definitely didn't sound like a Polk Audio speaker, which usually has great bass on all their speakers. Yes, it increases/decreases depending how far it is from a solid large object like a wall. But the first 5 hours, even next to a wall, the bass was lacking.
After maybe 5 hours of use, I started to hear the bass. Like I've seen on many speakers I've purchased in the past, they take time to "break-in" as the surrounds of the speakers are made from rubber, which can be rather restrictive upon first use. But after allowing it to play bass for a while, the sound rubber loosens up a bit, allowing more movement from the woofers and passive radiators... This made the bass way more responsive. Its significantly better than when I first powered this unit up..
So, basically, for $50, this is a steal. Yes, it takes 5-10 hours to fully appreciate it, but once its broken in, its significantly better than Bose, JBLs, and others I've tried out. Its battery lasts longer than I use it, so I haven't really experienced the 24 hour long batter... Its casing, the buttons, all of that are well placed and built.
5/5!!! A+++, highly rec'd this unit over anything at this price point.

Terrible for the price
This is not a good foot rest for larger people. I am a big dude, 6'3" 225lbs and this thing broke when I moved to adjust myself.. Yeah, I probably shouldn't have put the pressure but it wasn't my whole weight. It snapped it half while I was still on my chair using this as leverage. Had I put all my weight it would have snapped like a twig...
If this was 20-25 it would be a good deal, but at twice that price, this is NOT a good deal whatsoever...
