Terrific, trouble-free car.
3 of 3 found this helpful I'm now on my 4th Neon (crashed 2, sold 1) and they were all great cars. Although the headgasket issue was sorted out by the '99 MY, none of mine ever had a problem with that. The build quality on my '00 and 02 have been is exceptional (mostly due to Mercedes' QC). The second generation cars are more comfortable and refined, though a tad less sporty than the earlier models. I think the compromise was worth it. No window sealing issues and reduced road noise make it a decent highway car. I get about 30mpg in mixed driving with the 5-speed, which happens to be one of the best manual transmissions I've ever driven--the ratios are sublime. So far, I've put 70,000 trouble-free miles on it, except for a single tie-rod, which these cars are known to go through on occasion. Keep fuel, oil, and tires on it and you'll be happy.

Excellent value replacement windscreen
I don't have an OEM windscreen to compare to, but this one is adequately thick, with no significant flex when installed. Finish is perfect as is the fit.
