Maradyne Engine Cooling Fan MFA115; Texas Twister 15.000" 6 Blade Mechanical

Very happy with this fan.

We had purchased the 14" fan first. Once we got the truck assembled and running we found that there was room and ordered this 15". Quiet and they pull plenty of air.the 15" fits this build perfectly. 82 S10, fresh built 355 sbc with three hours of run time, aluminum 4 core radiator, modified original shroud, 1/2" spacer between fan and pump, 15" fan sets 1 1/4" from core, 3/4" from outside of blades to edge of shroud, 180° high flow Robertshaw thermostat. Ambient outside temp 115°F. Engine coolant temp stays steady at 190°-195°f at speed, maintains 200°-210°f during idle. The goal is to not rely on electric fans as the primary cooling source. Only to assist, if needed or when the air conditioning is on (it has not been hooked up yet). This is the hottest time of the year for us, the engine is very new having finished cam break in, and only a few short trips to sort out the other mechanicals. This fan is doing exactly what we need it to do. Will definitely continue to use these in our builds. Thank you.

Nice part

Good part with good quality. But it is tapped for metric threads for the hard brakeline. The 82 that we have uses SAE fittings. So I either have to find metric to SAE adapter fittings. Find new wheel cylinders that have SAE threads. Or just install disc brakes instead.
