Finally functional, but difficult to set up, with nearly dead batteries.
I've purchased the same handset previously and it is usually easy to set up. This one apparently had some resident settings from previous use that blocked the usual setup procedure. After several attempts to link with the base unit, I was about to return it. I then tried a couple of additional maneuvers related to decoupling then recoupling the unit and it finally worked! Anyway much too difficult to set up with base unit.
Also, the rechargeable battery is apparently at the end of its life. A full charge usually lasts for one or more days on my other units; on this one it is dead after a few hours.
