The Dresden Files...by Jim Butcher

Various titles. I like the tv show. I love the books. Hate the postage. Enjoy the combination hard/tough hero who is also a wizard very stricted by a magic council. Like how he relies on his friends and thinking rather than solving every little problem with magic.
