Fleas have evolved?
9 of 9 found this helpful I live in the Bay Area in Northern CA. It's said that dogs have Masters but cats have Staff.
I serve at the pleasure of 2 male indoor cats who occasionally would start scratching, yet evidence of infestation would be hard to find. I discovered Chastain about 3 yrs ago, and when I finally would realize that regardless of no bad guys, maybe those fleas developed some form of stealth "cloaking" capability and I'd order a 6pk online (no Rx regd and half price or better plus free priority shipping). Everytime I'd apply this small single dose tube of the meds, relief was evident within 30 min of application to the spot between their shoulders where Momma used to grab them, dying fleas would flee slowly well on their way to pest heaven.
I would offer this magic to friends or neighbors when they would bemoan that "nothing seems to work any more". I've never seen any negative side effects or failure to eliminate the body fleas and ALL eggs on the cats or inside the house everytime I'd use it on any feline (no kittens or low wgt kitty's). Found that larger cats approx 15 #, often req'd a second dose if relief wasn't evident w/in 3hrs with no neg side effects. A dose seemed to be effective for just under the 30 days advertised. Seems in this geo region, other products that used to work (Advantage, Frontline, etc) no longer were effective, and never worked as quickly as this winner. My cats actually appeared to smile by the next day after application and would exhibit PDA, head bumping, cat kisses, chest sitting, they were so happy that I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT THEY HAD BEEN TRYING TO Tell me all week. I swear one of them even went so far as to comment on the availability of good help these days, but they are so relieved to be rid of those nasty fleas that show up 1 or 2 months every year.
