I would be confident in replacing your points system with this product , simple install and no maintenance
Received the item and promptly put it in my 1974 280C Mercedes . Once in and wired according to the instructions, I called the tech line just to talk my assembly and wiring with the tech guy before starting it and its a good thing I did. The tech person had me wire it up differently than the instructions provided. When finished wiring I fired it up.....started right away better then any new points it had previously run on. The pick up and acceleration was very noticeable ! Its like a new engine . Very pleased with it so far. The instructions given with the item need to be changed or just before you're going to fire it up I recommend you call the tech line to get there assurance .
