Sweet price. Nice device.

Arrived in 72 hours to my Pennsylvania mailbox. The OEM packaging is nice. The UV-82 does everything that the UV-5R does except it is slightly larger and has 5 watts XMT (verses four for the UV-5R). Feels good in the hand. Seems sturdy and splash resistant. Run time is long if you are just listening to the RCVR. After searching for and watching the UV-82 setup videos on YouTube I was hitting my local repeater six miles away with the stock antenna. Big Hint: To switch between Frequency Mode and Channel Mode you have to power on the unit while holding the Menu key. (Not mentioned in the included instruction booklet). Recommendation: Buy. If you loose it or run over it with the car just get another. This ain't a $400 Kenwood.

Good product.

Good product, I've seen similar devices elsewhere for twice the $19 (with free shipping). I removed my "Ham Can" S&S Air Cleaner and replaced it with a more traditional looking round one. The new air cleaner did not have a lever to actuate the enrichener so I'm glad I found this solution.
